Royal Baobab Farms is a modern industrial scale pig farm located near Sogakope in the Volta Region. As we continue to grow, we are in need of talented and committed individuals to join our team. We give our employees free housing, meals and electricity/utilities in modern facilities on the farm.
We offer 4 tiers of job roles:
Candidates for our available roles must have relevant prior working experience according to these job role tiers. Entry-level staff roles do not require any prior experience.
BACHELOR OR HIGHER DEGREE: This remains the minimum requirement for management positions. For lower level administrative roles we consider candidates with Senior High School certificates.
BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS: Familiarity with using a computer and understanding how to use the internet, email (e.g., Gmail or Outlook), and basic word processing (e.g., Microsoft Word or Google Docs). Specific software skills can be learned on the job.
TYPING: Basic typing skills sufficient for simple data entry and document preparation.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Basic ability to communicate clearly and politely in writing and verbally, suitable for answering phones and interacting with colleagues.
ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS: Some ability to keep work areas tidy and assist with filing or other simple organizational tasks.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL: Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, important for data entry and scheduling appointments.
ADAPTABILITY: Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to changes in routines or assignments.
RELIABILITY: Commitment to starting work on time and completing tasks as directed.
PHYSICAL FITNESS: Capability to perform labour-intensive tasks for extended periods, including lifting, bending, and walking across uneven terrain.
ENDURANCE: Ability to work in various weather conditions, such as heat, cold, rain, or direct sunlight.
BASIC FARM KNOWLEDGE: While not always required, a basic understanding of farm operations or exposure to agricultural environments can be beneficial.
MECHANICAL APTITUDE: Some jobs might require the use of farm machinery. A willingness to learn or basic experience with machinery and tools is advantageous.
OBSERVATIONAL SKILLS: Ability to observe livestock and crops and report any signs of disease or distress.
RELIABILITY: Commitment to start work on time and performing tasks as needed throughout the workday.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to follow instructions and effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.
ADAPTABILITY: Willingness to take on various tasks as needed and adapt to changing conditions and work schedules.
WILLINGNESS TO LEARN: Openness to learning new farming techniques, operating farm equipment, and understanding safety protocols.
TEAMWORK: Ability to work well with others in a collaborative and sometimes physically demanding environment.
